This is the most recent information regarding Shohei Ohtani's injury.
Japanese player Shohei Ohtani had a partial dislocation in his left shoulder, as verified by Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts this Saturday. Additional testing is needed to assess the extent of the damage.
His left shoulder has a subluxation. Either today or tomorrow, we will carry out some research. Then, in the days ahead, we'll know more. After his team defeated the Yankees 4-2 in Game 2 of the World Series, Roberts told reporters at Dodger Stadium, "Once we have the scans, we'll have a clearer picture."
In the seventh inning, Ohtani was sliding into second base on a stolen base attempt when he was hurt. He lay on the ground for a few minutes after the play and was helped off the field while the medical crew supported his left arm.
Roberts remained hopeful in spite of the circumstances. The manager of the Dodgers said, "We're encouraged because the strength was excellent and the range of motion was good."
